Richmond Police Department

The Richmond Police Department carries out the responsibilities of responding to requests for service, conducting preliminary investigations of crime scenes, enforcing traffic laws, village ordinances and investigating traffic accidents 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. Our mission is to deliver professional and prompt service to every citizen who requests police response. We offer citizens a wide variety of human resource alternatives and referrals.

The Department consists of 5 full time officers and 10 part time officers, 5 community service officers, and 1 secretary. The members of the Richmond Police Department have devoted their efforts toward supporting and protecting this community. We operate under a community oriented policing program which stresses building a partnership to combat alcohol and drug abuse and development of gang related problems. The safety and welfare of the community continues to be the primary focus of the members of the Police Department. The future depends largely on how well we prepare for it now.
